Want to see Lake Ridge Elementary in Scholastic’s Book of World Records? If so, join the Read for the World Challenge!

Scholastic publishes a Book of World Records each year, similar to the Guinness World Records book. This summer Scholastic has created a challenge to have 500 million minutes read this summer. The total number of minutes read from schools across the nation will be published in the book. The top 20 schools with the most minutes read will be listed in Scholastic’s Book of World Records 2011.

Lake Ridge Elementary has set a goal for each student to read 2,500 minutes over the summer. If our goal is reached, we will have a surprise treat for students this fall.
