Caught You Being Good Program
Students are given lion’s paw slips by principals, teachers, bus drivers/crossing guards and other school staff when they have demonstrated the Character Trait of the Month. Each month we focus on a different character trait. A reminder is sent home in the Head Lions newsletter to let you know which trait we are looking for that month. Names will be randomly drawn twice a month. You may choose to set up a reward system of positive praise as your child displays these traits at home with family members and/or friends. Below is a list of the character traits we have used this school year:

Additionally, every month students are selected from every class in every grade level K-5 to be recognized on the morning announcements. These students are given a special certificate, character trait pencil.
